THEY ARE WINNING

There are 2 major things on my mind this week.

FIRST - the arrogance of the left.

For openers we have Senator Barbara Boxer, she had no idea that military personnel are instructed to address woman as mame. She insisted on being called Senator by an army general. The General has invested his entire life protecting her right to be a Senator, what has she done?

Senator Boxer also insulted the President of the US Black Chamber of Commerce by making racial innuendos about his position on the economy.

And finally, in a diatribe on the Senate floor she compared a woman's right to choose to men using Viagra. Perhaps the Senator needs a class in sex education. Personally if I were forced to have an encounter with this Senator there would not be enough Viagara in the world that would help.

We have Senator Arlen Spector, a man who I have had a great deal of respect for. His outrageous outburst towards a female congressman from Minnesota was at best disgraceful. Senator Spector, it's time to hang it up and retire.

Finally, we have President Obama, there are far too many incidents to list. Suffice to say, his recent statement in reference to the possibility of the 2010 elections mirroring the 1994 election. "This time you have me in office", was despicable. Hey Bill how is this "Change you can count on" working out for you and Hillary?"

When will these arrogant servants of the people learn, they are not royalty, they are merely human.

THEY ARE WINNING!
TERRORISM - As we all know, the objective of terrorism is to intimidate the target into changing their lives. To live with suspicion and in fear. They have succeeded, and we are helping them.
We have all experienced the inconvenience and often humility of going through security at an airport. I feel badly for the TSA officer who chooses to go through my luggage, it may not be pretty and may well be aromatic. I recently waited in line for 45 minutes at LAX (outside the terminal) to be processed. There were numerous charities, and homeless asking for donations. I considered opening a concession selling drinks and providing a bathroom. Not a bad business opportunity!
How often do you find yourself looking at the people waiting to board your plane or train? Are they Americans? Are they dressed in loose fitting clothes? Are they wearing strange head covering? Are the donning Tefilin (Jewish prayer implements)? After you board are you cognisant of passengers who spend too much time in the bathroom? Flights are for reading or sleeping, not for playing "24".
I'm also sick and tired of being patted down (it really depends on who is doing the patting) as I enter a stadium, theatre, museum or national monument. How often do you find yourself caught in traffic in a tunnel and wonder, is this it?
I could go on and on, the bottom line is, they are winning. They have changed our lives, and we are letting them.
We have become the suspects while their rights are being protected. November is 10 months away, we will have our chance to begin making REAL CHANGE.

FIRST YEAR REPORT CARD

Trying to rate the performance of The President of the United States after 100 days or 6 months makes little if any sense. President Obama will be celebrating his first anniversary as the Leader of the Free World on January 20 th. It's time for a report card:

BUILDING AN ORGANIZATION - GRADE D

Rather than providing a laundry list (much of which would be dirty) of names suffice to say the selection and vetting process was poor at best. This administration has specialized in putting round pegs in square holes.

Starting with the Treasury Secretary and going right thru the CIA, Homeland Security, and yes even the Secretary of State. For good measure, the Vice President should also be included in this list.

Many of us feared Mr. Obama's inexperience would be a detriment. This has proven to be true.
The only reason that the grade was as high as D is due to the number of Czars that have been appointed. Czars do not report to the congress, this is a good thing even though his choices may prove to be poor.

LEADERSHIP - GRADE E

Simply put, leaders DO NOT pass the buck, the consistent use of the phrase "I inherited this mess" tells the story. All presidents are aware of what they are getting into well before they are elected. If a person doesn't like what they are getting into, they should not get into it!

Leaders seldom use the words mine or I when referring to their "team". This president seldom if ever says "we". Obviously the phrase "lead through example" is not in President Obama's vocabulary, unless the word "bad" is inserted between through and example.

A true leader works to bring all sides together. They do not have closed door meetings attended by only those who agree with them. They listen to all sides of issues, not just the side that they already agree with.

Finally, a leader NEVER criticizes law enforcement personnel, particularly when they do not have the facts. We all remember the Cambridge, Mass. incident.

THE ECONOMY - GRADE D

Taking from and criticizing those who have been successful, those who have invested in this nation, those who have created what we have today, those who have built this nation and those who WORK. Giving to those who are on the lower end of the scale does not solve the problem. That is what is called "redistribution of wealth".

I realize that a "Community Organizer" has never had to manage a budget or define problem from symptom. That is why he should have surrounded himself with seasoned experts. His inheritance is nothing compared to what he will leave to his successor.

FOREIGN POLICY - GRADE F

President Obama, has taken us back to Jimmy Carter's approach and policies. It is always better to try and solve problems with diplomacy, rather than war. However, if deadlines are set and not met, extending the deadline or ignoring the mandate is not the answer.

Traveling the world and telling those who hate us that we have been wrong does nothing more than strengthen their belief that we are soft. Why are we apologizing to people who openly do not like us, yet have no qualms about talking our money, food, technology, and military power. It makes no sense!

Continuing to "push off" the immigration problem further indicates to the world that we have no direction and will soon be ripe for the picking. Perhaps he should spend more time and effort on foreign policy than on appeasing the unions, particularly SEIU.

I earlier criticized the presidents selection for Secretary of State. Although I believe that Ms. Clinton is better suited for a different cabinet positions, she is smart and should have input in policy. Her input has to be better than what we presently have.

SECURITY - GRADE D-

Why so high a grade you ask? We are allowing murdering terrorists to have their "day in court" in our back yard, we have been soft in our rhetoric towards those who want to kill us, we have allowed people who intimidated voters (in Philadelphia) to "walk", and on and on?

I give the President a few points for his actions against Somali pirates as well as the drones which are bombing Pakistan.

His reluctance to take action against the people in his administrations who dropped the ball during the Christmas Day attempt to blow up a plane over Detroit further indicates his weakness in this critical area.

COMMUNICATIONS - GRADE B

The president gets high marks as a speaker who can convince people that the sun is shining at mid night in Washington. His speech writers know the target market very well and play to their weakness. In essence he tells his base what they want to hear, whether it is true or not!

Press conferences are a different issue. Without a teleprompter he is lost. Take note, since the statement about the Cambridge, Mass. police there has not been a press conference. I wonder why?

ETHICS AND STANDARDS - GRADE F

Many of us have developed a l'ais a faire attitude towards expecting the truth from politicians. This politician has gone beyond the limit (if there is one).

We have learned to expect campaign promises to be broken or changed, dual standards to be used and changes in direction. Frankly, it is difficult to find accuracy in anything that comes from this administration. Moving targets are the norm not the exception.

If a member of the presidents party steps out of the politically correct bubble it is acceptable. If a member of the other party tells the truth they are chastised.

Do as I say not as I do, is this presidents mantra.

FINAL GRADE - E+ and this is generous. we have just three more years to endure this debacle.

Your comments are appreciated.

JUST A FEW THOUGHTS AND HOPEFULLY A LAUGH

A FEW STUPID THOUGHTS
Life is sexually transmitted.
WhY does a round pizza come in a square box?
What disease did a cured ham suffer from?
If you tell the truth, you have nothing to remember!
Never miss a good chance to be quiet.
How come we never hear Father in law jokes?
DOUBLE STANDARDS
We all recall the tumult when a group of minority day campers were told that they could no longer use the pool at a swim club located In a Philadelphia suburb. It was unfair and the club has paid a high price for their actions. The story made national news for weeks.
Recently in another Philadelphia suburb anti Semitic slurs and references to the Holocaust were "cheered" by students from Upper Darby High School (predominantly minority) at students from Lower Merion High School (high percentage of Jewish students) during a basketball game. How come there was no coverage of this disgraceful action? Neither the local or national medias mentioned it!
Yet another example of the politically correct "do as I say not as I do" attitude in our world. Where were the Anti Defamation League, the ACLU, the PA. State Athletic Commission? Probably out helping Al Sharpton and Charlie Rangle pick out a new $5G suit!
I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EARS
As you know, I am fair and honest in my writings and opinions. Therefore I must point out the three new expressions that were orated by president Obama this week.
The President actually said that there were terrorists trying to disrupt our lives.
He said that we were at WAR with Al Quida. OK he covered himself by saying that we are not mad at Islam.
And finally he said " I take responsibility for the security lapse". This is the first time that I have ever heard the President take responsibility for ANYTHING. What happened to his inheritance of all the problems? What happened to the bad George W. Bush, have his horns fallen off?
We all know, talk is cheap. there is no reason to believe that the change in vocabulary means that there is a change in ideals or direction. The President is yet to prove that he is a leader, that he has the back bone to do what needs to be done or that he really takes the security of this nation seriously. Time will tell.
WHAT LOSING ELECTIONS CAN DO
A number of high profile Democrats threw in their towels (dirty in most cases) this week, why you ask? As we have seen in the past, if they know that they cannot win they change the rules or the people. It was obvious that the Dem's. who stepped away were destined for defeat. Rather than stand their ground and let the electorate make the decision, they ran like mice.
Hopefully the electorate has learned that we must elect people who work for us, not for party hacks.
Enjoy the cold ans snow! and GO EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOOKING AHEAD TO 2010

THE FATE OF A LIAR IS THAT WHEN THEY TELL THE TRUTH, THEY ARE NOT BELIEVED.
PREDICTIONS FOR 2010
THE NOBEL PIECE PRIZE - This years winner will be Hugo Chavez. Why not. who better to follow last years winner.
THE NOBLE PIECE PRIZE - This one is shared by Tiger Woods and Barney Frank. We know how Tiger earned the honor. Barney gets his share by unexpectedly marrying Janet Reno! We are not sure who was the bride and who was the groom.
CALIFORNIA DREAMIN' AWARD - Barbara Boxer will earn this award by conceding the democratic nomination for her senate seat to Howdy Doody, who will lose the seat to The Lone Ranger. And San Francisco will secede from the union.
IN THE SWIM AWARD - A Southern Baptist day camp group will be banned from a swim club in Harlem. For no particular reason.
WE WISH - The president of SEIU will replace Joe Biden as V.P. and immediately give himself a $5,000,000,000 raise. Biden will take a job overseeing a gas pump at a WAWA in Wilmington, DE.
NEW SECURITY AT AIRPORTS - In an effort to speed up the check in process. All passengers wearing Burka's will pass security. All others will be fingerprinted and stripped searched. HMMMM! might not be a bad job for Jim Mc Greevey.
And finally, on November 2, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Arlen Specter, and all of the other weenies will join Joe Biden at WAWA!
Nebraska here I come!
