WE REALLY SHOVELED IT THIS WEEK!

QUESTION TO PONDER - If corn oil comes from corn and olive oil comes from olives. Where does baby oil come from?

SHOVELING OUR WAY OUT OF IT!
This was truly the week that was here in the eastern part of the country. Record snow fall, caused havoc throughout the area. Washington, D.C. was shut down for 4 days and no one realized that the government wasn't working.
Actually, the country functioned quite well while Washington was shut down. We received a much needed break from seeing the likes of Pelosi, Reed and Bumbling Barney Frank on TV. Barbara Boxer was seen on a beach in California, wearing a camouflage bathing suit and digging for clams. Chuck Schumer was walking the streets of Brooklyn looking for a camera and a microphone to stand in front of.
Without Washington's droppings to shovel, all we had was snow. Many of us had back aches, sore muscles and got colds. But it is safe to say that our stomach's were not upset without the government operating.
Perhaps they should shut down one week each month, they would never be missed.
FORMER PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON
Those of you who are regulars know that I never wish harm to anyone. The former President was never on my top 100 favorite people list, but I do respect his intelligence. He got away with cheating on his wife (who could blame him) and being the winner.
Billy boy was smart enough during his terms in office to listen to Gingrich, move to the right of center and make himself look good. On the other hand his taste in women left a great deal to be desired.
I believe in giving credit to those who earn it. Bill Clinton, has done more good for the world since he left office than he ever did as president. It could be said that his leadership (or lack of it) was somewhat responsible for the terrorist situation that we now face. His affinity for tax increases was disgraceful and I am hard pressed to find anything that he ever did for the minority communities. Yet he is revered by them!
History will prove him to be a step or two above Jimmy Carter and a step or two below Dwight Eisenhower as a president. As a citizen today he is an asset and we wish him a quick and total recovery.
It's time to pick up the shovel, Washington is again open for business. Time to get the fertilizer!
